about

Sometimes you feel like you are about to drown, but you have a lifeline to pull you out of that blisteringly cold water. Riley is that life line for me regularly. Ol' Rough Seas was written by Natasha fall of 2015 during one of those times.

lyrics

Ol’ Rough Seas

The sea it meets the sky, the fog it meets the sand
Im drowning in this current, won't you please give me your hand
These tears are rolling out, as the tide is rolling in
The sun is slowly setting, thoughts are blowing in the wind
blowing in the wind, blowing in the wind

Breeze is picking up, storms a brewin’ out there tonight
Your standing as my lifeline, you’re putting up quite the fight
The moonlight upon your face dear as I’m chilled right through my bones
The current's getting stronger but you’ve got a mighty hold
Got a mighty hold, got a mighty hold

Well the stars are shining bright, and the birds have gone to sleep
Without you my love, I’ve never felt complete
I cannot move a muscle, I need your warm embrace
Before these old rough seas encompass me without a trace
Without a trace, without a trace

Waves are crashing off the rocks, rain is pouring from the sky
Fogs rolled in so deep tonight I can barely see your eyes
You’ve pulled me from the current and we’re both on solid ground
If it weren’t for you my darlin’ well I surely would have drowned
Surely would have drowned, surely would have drowned
surely would have drowned
